The former Friends star faces her fears for the survival hero’s new show… but can’t cope with the dead animal
THE Hollywood Hills this isn’t… as Courteney Cox takes on the wilderness of the Irish moors and eats a rotting sheep!
The former Friends star faces the ultimate challenge as she joins Bear Grylls for his new show.
Viewers will see the horrified star being told that their dinner will be a decaying sheep carcass.
In scenes from Running With Bear Grylls, fans will see the 52-year-old pulling the drowned animal from the water with the survival hero.
She tells the camera: "There is no reason.
“We're not helping anybody by taking this sheep out."
She is then told to help him cut up the animal so that they can eat it.
Courteney can then be seen looking very distressed as they prepare their “dinner”.
Bear revealed that the ordeal left her quite traumatised, he said: “She emailed me since and I think she's got a bit of post-traumatic stress going on.
He continued: “I found this rotting sheep carcass and I thought ‘Oh, good, I can give her some lamb’.
“I stuck the knife in and maggots exploded out. The blood drained from her face.”
Before they start the challenge Bear tells the Hollywood star: “I could give you the Irish menu.
“Birds if you can catch em, worms (lots of), bugs, grubs, insects, flies, crickets, caterpillars.”
Viewers will also see her facing her fears by strapping herself into a safety harness and pulling herself across a ravine on nothing but a wire.
The new series of Running Wild with Bear Grylls airs exclusively in the UK on Discovery Channel, 9pm, Wednesday 31st August
