Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver shows off stunning three stone weight loss
Known as the slightly frumpy Eileen Grimshaw, the actress is looking better than ever following a major slim down
HER Corrie alter-ego might not be regarded as the best catch in Weatherfield, but off-screen actress Sue Cleaver has undergone a major image overhaul.
As the frumpy Eileen Grimshaw, Sue lives in leggings and baggy tops, but outside of work the star has been showing off her increasingly svelte figure in a series of slinky outfits.
She looked better than ever when she attended to on-screen son Ryan Thomas' leaving party wearing a jumpsuit and vivid floral jacket.
Sue turned heads as she bid an emotional farewell to the Jason Grimshaw actor, who is quitting the Cobbles for Hollywood.
The 52-year-old is believed to have lost an incredible three stone over the past few years.
Fitness expert Laurel Alper told Woman: "I'd estimate Sue's gone from a size 16 to a size 12-14.
"Her weight loss is particularly noticeable around her neck and chest, which previously looked much fuller."
Sue, who has been a regular fixture in Corrie since 2000, has battled with weight problems over the years but seems to have found a way to finally keep her body in-check.
The mum-of-one told her fans about how she has upped her exercise regime to achieve her fitness goals.
Just recently she tweeted: "Feeling rather chipper today. Started work at 7.10am and just finished at 9.15am. Time for a morning bike ride."
Sue also suffers from diabetes and previously suffered an attack which required her to be rushed to hospital.
Ever since, the star has aimed to maintain a healthy lifestyle where in the past she has spoken about her faith in a Mediterranean-style diet to keep her body in top shape.
With regards to her diet, the actress is also said to be a firm believer of all things in moderation.
Sue, who has become a lovable soap favourite, is clearly doing something right – even if her character Eileen is struggling to do the same in the men department.
