Coleen Rooney pays tribute to late sister Rosie eight years after her death
COLEEN Rooney has paid an emotional tribute to her little sister Rosie McLoughlin eight years after her death.
Rosie died aged 14 in 2013 after a lifelong battle with the rare brain disorder Rett syndrome, which causes severe disabilities.
Coleen, 35, beamed in a throwback photo from her 2008 wedding to Wayne Rooney with Rosie.
She gazed adoringly at her little sister who she doted on.
Coleen looked radiant in her strapless gown with her hair swept up in an elegant bun with her veil flowing over her shoulders.
Rosie looked sweet in a frilly white dress with a butterfly clip in her hair.
Coleen simply captioned the shot with a few heart emoji's and an angel one.
Her friends and followers sent their own tributes too, with one writing: "So beautiful," and another gushing: "Aw, that's a beautiful photo."
Earlier this year Coleen remembered her younger sibling on Instagram by sharing a candid black and white photo of them smiling together.
The Welcome To My World author accompanied the heartwarming shot with poignant caption in which Coleen said she wished her sons Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass had met her.
She wrote: "8 years since our Rosie got her angel wings and flew to heaven to dance and run free.
"My boys speak about you all the time Ro, wish they all could have met you. Love and miss you every day."
Days before Rosie died, when it became clear her condition was deteriorating, Coleen and the family cut their Barbados holiday short.
She said at the time: "So glad we ended our holiday short, due to her deteriorating & we was able to spend the last few days together with her an our family."
"Sleep tight Rosie Mc x. We love you more than words can say x."
