Loved-up Sheridan Smith posts rare snap with new actor boyfriend Alex as fans can’t get over how happy she looks

SHERIDAN Smith has shared a rare snap with her new boyfriend Alex Lawler.

The 40-year-old, who first dated Alex 20 years ago, looked loved-up and content as she grinned beside him - leading fans to comment on how happy she seems.

The actress captions the shot, which sees her with long blonde hair, with the emoji of two hearts entwined.

One person remarked: “Gorgeous pic”, while another added: “I love this."

She also shared a picture of her son Billy, from her relationship with Jamie Horn, taking his first steps as they all enjoyed a day out together.

Earlier this month the pair sparked engagement rumours when she appeared with a ring on her wedding finger. 

Alex is also an actor who has featured in Mike Bassett: England Manager and Lost In Austen.

Sheridan first revealed she was dating Alex in September, following her split from fiance Jamie.

She told her followers:"So pleased this fitty I dated back in the day (20 years ago) is back in my life! Life works in mysterious ways miss u Mr L." 

In July, The Sun exclusively revealed Sheridan and Jamie had gone their separate ways - a year after they welcomed their first son Billy.

Cilla actress Sheridan met former insurance broker Jamie, 31, on the dating app Tinder in 2018 and they soon got engaged.

In a joint statement given to The Sun on Sunday, the couple said: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.

“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
