DATING apps are not for the faint hearted, which is a lesson This Morning's Alison Hammond learnt the hard way.
The TV star and her co-host Dermot O'Leary were chatting about dating apps after research found men who posted photos of themselves with dogs took relationships more seriously.
Guys who said they were looking for a relationship and whose profiles featured pictures of dogs, tended to be 'more likely to settle down' according to research published in
Alison took the opportunity to share her horror experience on Tinder which left her matched with blokes she wasn't too keen on.
"Can I just say when I went on a dating app, Tinder.... basically I was swiping the wrong way! So when I liked them, I was like swiping them up," she revealed.
A horrified Dermot put his heads in his hands and asked: "Hang on, if you go left you don't like them?"
"So I was swiping the wrong way so I had all these people going, 'I don't like them!' And they were all the people that I was saying, 'yeah they're fine'," Alison explained.
Dermot then asked: "Did you go on the dates?" and she replied, "No, I didn't, I just came off the app! I was like, 'I can't do it!'"
