Showtrial cast: Who stars in the BBC crime drama?
LINE of Duty and Bodyguard makers strike again and are bringing a new courtroom drama.
BBC One's upcoming Showtrial will explore the idea of doubt in law. But which familiar faces can viewers expect to appear in the programme?
Who is in the cast of Showtrial?
Created by Outcasts writer Ben Richards, Showtrial will tell the story of Talitha Campbell.
"I am delighted with the cast that has been assembled for Showtrial", said Ben, "it is a brilliant ensemble of talented actors that feels modern, energetic and perfectly suited for the complex characters and storylines."
Talitha Campbell - played by Céline Buckens
Belgian-British actress Céline will take on the lead role in Showtrial.
The estranged and arrogant daughter of a property developer, Talitha is charged with conspiring to murder fellow university student Hannah Ellis.
Wrongfully accused of cold-blooded murderer? Viewers and characters will be put to the test in order to find the truth.
Born in Brussels on August 9, 1996, the 25-year-old already has several prestigious TV credits to her name.
These include the role of Mia MacDonald in Netflix's Free Rein and Sophie Mercer in Warrior, while also appearing in Bridgerton.
She began her acting career in Steven Spielberg's award-winning Warhorse in 2011 and has appeared in The Good Liar (2019) opposite Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Ian McKellen.
Cleo Roberts - played by Tracy Ifeachor
The duty solicitor on the night of Talitha's arrest, Cleo is asked to lead Talitha's defence against a prosecution that will use her client's gender and social privilege against her.
After graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama, British-Nigerian actress Tracy shot her first feature film Blooded, directed by Sundance festival winner Ed Boase.
She then went on to make her theatre debut in Dominic Cooke's production of Noughts & Crosses before setting her sights on a career in television.
Viewers will certainly recognised her for her role of Leila in an episode of Casualty, although she has also played the parts of Aya Al-Rashid in The Originals and Abigail Naismith in both parts of the Doctor Who Christmas special The End of Time (2009).
