All the latest tv news
The first season of Guilt begins with the pair in a car, returning from a wedding.
The trip home turns deadly when they accidentally run over and kill an elderly man, Walter, in an Edinburgh street.
Uninsured and under the influence, they decide to try and cover up the crime to avoid any legal repercussions.
But as the show progresses, it becomes more and more difficult for them to keep their secret under wraps.
For instance, Max's wife Claire soon becomes suspicious upon seeing him spending so much time with his brother, suspecting he may be having an affair.
While Jake is convinced by a private investigator named Kenny (Emun Elliott) to pin the blame on Max, he refuses out of loyalty for his brother.
After many obstacles, including an attempted blackmail orchestrated by Walter's neighbour, the first series ends in a shocking twist.
Approached by Kenny with proof of the crime - who requests that he give him a job to avoid being thrown under the bus - Max decides to turn himself in.
The first season of Guilt ends as Max is taken away by authorities.
Guilt season 2 begins with Max's release from prison, after a two-year sentence for Walter's death.
