Cheryl made a return to performing last month after she took the stage at London music festival, Mighty Hoopla.

She told her fans "a lot has happened in-between" since wowing the the crowd and thanked them for being "incredible."

Cheryl also shared a behind the scenes video of her getting ready for the performance and slaying the stage in mesh-panelled pink jumpsuit.

"I love you all 💖🌈 thank you for an amazing night," she captioned the video.

On her Instagram stories, Cheryl beamed with happiness remembering her special performance as she wore a ribbed long-sleeved top and her hair in loose waves.

"Hello everyone. So I know it's been a minute since Hoopla, but I really wanted to refer back to it just to say thank you so much for an amazing night," she started.

"I had the best time. You lot were incredible. And yeh, I didn't have the chance to say thank you.

"A lot has happened in-between, but I really had the best night. So, you lot are major and I can't wait to see you again."

Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts, 35, who was in the BTS video and performed with Cheryl at Mighty Hoopla, commented: "The best night."

Cheryl's heartfelt message comes after she pulled out of her Birmingham Pride gig last month after revealing she wasn't "emotionally or mentally" able to perform following Sarah Harding's death.

Girls Aloud's Sarah tragically died from aggressive breast cancer in September aged just 39.

Cheryl released a statement on Instagram apologising for her withdrawal from the event she was due to headline.

She wrote: "Saying goodbye to somebody you spent such a massive piece of your life with is like nothing else.

"My heart is heavy. Grief is such a harsh experience and an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Questions without answers and pain without resolve. So tumultuous and constant.

"With that said I am so sorry but I really am not emotionally, mentally or physically able to perform for you this Saturday at Birmingham Pride.

"I apologise wholeheartedly and I can only hope for your understanding (I promise I will make it up to you somehow).

"I feel now I just need some time to sit with my feelings and process the grief...

"Nothing prepares you for this bit."

Birmingham Pride said it will donate Cheryl's entire fee to a cancer charity or charities that support LGBTQ+ people living with cancer.

Sarah's bandmates - Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - each paid heartfelt tributes following her death.
