JESY Nelson’s controversial Boyz video was directed by boyfriend Harry James after they got back together earlier this year.

The 30-year-old released her first solo track last Friday after she sensationally quit Little Mix last December.

And her beau Harry was one of the brains behind the video.

The producer, 27, proudly shared his work on Instagram when the song was released last week.

He told his 26.6k followers: “Boyz out now! Video directed by me 🎥  @jesynelson @nickiminaj @diddy.”

Jesy, who co-directed the video, replied in the comments section: “We f***ing did ittttttttt 🥺.”

Harry started dating Jesy back in 2017 and the pair were together for 16 months before they called time on their relationship.

Then in September 2021 it was revealed that the stunner and Harry had grown close again.

The ex-Little Mix singer whisked him off on a luxury holiday to the Caribbean during the summer.

The pair spent a week at the swanky four star Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua, and then travelled to Los Angeles to film the video for Jesy’s debut single.

A source at the time told us: “Jesy and Harry always got on like a house on fire and have been spending a lot more time together recently.

“Antigua was a great way to reconnect with the privacy of no one knowing who they were.

“Jesy has had her own battles but with her solo career ready to go and her bond with Harry stronger than ever she’s really in the best place. She can’t wait for what the rest of the year will bring.

“He is helping her with her career but also there for her privately. They have both matured a lot since they were last together and have grown very close.”

Jesy’s new music video was certainly worth the wait as she pulled out music’s biggest names to star in her hit new track Boyz.

The upbeat Hip Hop track featured a cameo from mogul P Diddy and Nicki Minaj.

Since the big reveal, Jesy’s former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall have unfollowed her.

The music video for Boyz has left some members less than impressed after Leigh-Anne accused Jesy of “blackfishing” – when a white person uses black culture to further their career or online presence.

After an influenced called No Hun asked his fans if he should make up a dance routine to Boyz, to which Leigh-Anne replied: “No. Do a video about her being a blackfish instead.”

Responding to blackfishing claims, Jesy said: “The whole time I was in Little Mix I never got any of that. And then I came out of [the band] and people all of a sudden were saying it.

“But I mean, like, I love black culture. I love black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on.

“I’m very aware that I’m a white British woman; I’ve never said that I wasn’t.”
