TWICE AS NICE

One is never enough. Here are five reasons to give Star Wars: The Force Awakens another watch

From Daniel Craig's cameo, to the Wilhelm scream, you may want to keep a closer eye out this time around

1.Daniel Craig’s cameo

The Bond actor has a small part as the aptly named stormtrooper JB-007. Rumour has it that Craig was filming Spectre in the same London studio and got talking to the movie’s director JJ Abrams who got him into the white suit. But can you spot him?

2. Storm blooper

Eagle-eyed viewers might spot Finn (John Boyega) putting his foot in it. When he is a stormtrooper he is wearing typical boots but is seen wearing a completely different pair while escaping with Rey. Whoops!

3. Got your number

Finn’s stormtrooper identification number FN-2187 is a clever nod to the first Star Wars movie: it’s the number of the cell block where Princess Leia is held.

4. Parsec problems

It’s the gaffe that fans love to hate and the parsec issue rears its ugly head again. For those not au fait with outerspace lingo, a parsec is a unit of distance, but is used to describe time in both the original Star Wars and again in Star Wars:The Force Awakens.

As well as spotting a few things you might have missed, the movie makes for a cracking watch

5. The Wilhelm Scream

The Wilhelm scream is renowned in Movie Land and the chances are you’ve heard it a hundred times but never paid any attention to it. The stock sound effect was first used in the 1951 Gary Cooper western Distant Drums and has since been used in more than 250 movies, including every Star Wars. Keep your ears sharp during Finn and Poe’s escape from the First Order.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is brand new on Sky Cinema from August 26
