Celebrity Big Brother branded a FIX for showing Bear’s ‘softer’ side during emotional scenes with Lillie Lexie Gregg
Viewers have questioned whether Bear will now get the sympathy vote
CELEBRITY Big Brother viewers have branded the show a fix following last night’s emotional episode when Stephen Bear came face to face with his ex Lillie Lexie Gregg.
The usually bolshie reality star was reduced to tears as Lillie confronted him about his antics, while emotive music played in the background and his housemates looked on in horror – leading to speculation Channel 5 bosses are keen for viewers to see Bear’s ‘softer’ side.
Taking to Twitter to discuss the scenes involving Bear – who is currently favourite to win – fans questioned whether they were being lead to give him the ‘sympathy’ vote.
One person wrote: “Once again it ends with Bear pouring his heart out for votes!#Fix #CBB”
Another tweeted: “#CBB is all for bear with his ex on the beach ads and interview airtime its such a fix and then they cut it to adverts at the best moment!”
“I knew @bbuk was a fix. Bear not kicked out for his behaviour and now his ex-gf has gone in so more camera time for him. #CBB,” mentioned someone else.
Another asked: "Is he going for sympathy vote now? Just F**K OFF K**HEAD! you've spoilt my CBB fix this year totally! #karma's a b**ch!! #CBB."
This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes also questioned the show, asking his followers: “After his poor ex girlfriend appearing , Did #Bear get your sympathy vote at all ?”
One of his followers replied: “Hell no!! @bbuk All set up to show his "softer" side.... rigged i reckon!!!! #CBB fix.”
Another told him: “I'm feeling insulted that producers think we are falling for this scripted rubbish #CBBUK.”
Someone else tweeted him back: “Tonight's show was edited to do exactly that, Lewis and Bear represent the young men of England, how tragic is that!”
And Chloe Khan – who initially said she was pleased viewers could see Bear's sensitive side – also tweeted about the scenes writing: “Wow these TV villain / victim scenarios really work on the masses . ???????? well played.”
Bear and Chloe acted out a series of steamy romps during their short time together in the house before Chloe became the third person to be evicted last week.
Meanwhile Lillie had been sitting at home watching her relationship - which began on MTV show Ex on the Beach earlier this year - fall apart in front of her eyes.
During her confrontation with Bear, she said: "You asked me to be there when you got out…. I supported you 100 percent.
“This is a joke at my expense.”
