Who is Kye Whyte from Dancing On Ice 2022?
BMX star Kye Whyte is swapping his bike for a pair of skates in the New Year.
The Team GB hero has been announced as part of the lineup for Dancing On Ice, with the new series set to air January 16, 2022, on ITV.
Who is Kye Whyte?
Born in September 1999, Kye, 22, began riding BMX when he was just three.
Riding runs in the family, with his father Nigel a co-founder of the famous Peckham BMX Club.
It was from here that Whyte got his "Prince of Peckham" nickname and began his ascent from the streets of South London to the Tokyo Olympics.
Along with his brother Tre, the pair joined the Great Britain Cycling Team in 2017.
But it was a rocky start at national level for Kye, who suffered a brain bleed following a crash and was in an induced coma for five days.
He came back strong though and won a European Championship silver medal in 2018, before recording his first Supercross World Cup victory in Manchester a year later.

Whyte was part of Team GB's Olympic team at Toyko 2020 and came away with a silver medal as the Brits took the BMX events by storm.
He was edged out by Dutch star Niek Kimmann in a thrilling contest, with his exploits helping to BMX thrust into the mainstream as an enthralled public watched back home.
Is he married?
It is thought that Kye is currently single.
The Olympian currently has over 40,000 followers on Instagram, where it looks like he will be documenting his Dancing on Ice journey.

Who is his Dancing On Ice partner?
Kye will be performing on Dancing On Ice with 29-year-old professional skater, Tippy Packard.
His decision to take part in the show was announced on CBBC's Newsround and he told the hosts he was "feeling good" about signing up.
He confessed that while he did roller-skating as a youngster, that is the extent of his abilities when it comes to the competition - so like many others, he has a lot to learn when it comes to the intimate routines on the ice rink.
He said: "I think I can win Dancing On Ice. I'd love to see if I can make the final because, as I said, I'm very competitive.
"You know what? I want to make the final!"
