‘Lonely and homesick’ Emily Atack travels north for reunion with rarely-seen dad Keith
EMILY Atack enjoyed a reunion with her dad Keith over the weekend.
The comedian, 31, admitted she was feeling lonely as she tours the country so was delighted to spend time with family.
Sharing a picture of herself alongside her dad as they went for dinner, she told her followers: "Had the night off tonight, catching up with dad up Norrrrrf.
“I get so lonely and homesick so this is heaven for me ❤️.”
Emily’s dad is a musician, who was part of the 1970s pop group Child, but continues to tour as a guitarist.
He is no longer with Emily’s mum - Kate Robbins. They split in 2008 after 19 years of marriage.
Emily previously revealed how much she struggled with their divorce and turned to booze to deal with it.
She told the Sunday Times magazine: "My idyllic childhood came crashing down dramatically when Mum and Dad divorced.
"I didn't talk to Dad for months and was angry with both of them.
"I pulled away from Mum, started hanging out with lads and smoking and drinking.
"I stopped listening and did what I wanted, and by the time I was 14 I was seeing this much older lad. That's when the school bullying started."
Emily is currently on tour with her stand up show Emily Atack Has Left The Group.
The Inbetweeners and I’m A Celeb star has just wrapped filming the second series of The Emily Atack Show.
