Vicky Pattison gushes over ‘slim’ Jess Wright in impassioned rant against body shamers
The former Geordie Shore star hit out the negative people
VICKY Pattison has spoken out in support of Jessica Wright after she became the victim of body shamers.
The 28-year-old, who has been forced to defend her appearance on numerous occasions in the past, published an impassioned rant praising the former Towie star - telling people to stop being so “petty and bitter.”
She described Jess as ‘feminine, slim, immaculately put together and curvy’, before questioning why women feel the need to pick others apart.
She wrote: “My #WCW for today is the beautiful and kind @jesswright77!! Over the years I've known Jess she has never been anything but lovely and supportive to me! She is a true inspiration to young girls and stunning not only on the outside but inside too!
“To hear that there are negative things being said about her incredible figure makes me sad and furious! I've seen Jess in the last couple weeks and she looks as amazing as ever! Feminine, slim, immaculately put together and curvy!”
Vicky continued by questioning why people are “obsessed with dragging people down” and admitted that “body shaming is beyond me”.
“I wish the women doing it would plough the time they wasted trying to make other women feel bad about themselves into making themselves feel better and stop being so pedantic, petty and bitter!,” she added.
“Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and the sooner we embrace this and try and teach it to younger generations the happier everyone will be!”
Concluding her heartfelt words of wisdom, she wrote: “Remember, calling someone ugly will not make you pretty, calling someone fat will not make you thin and calling someone stupid will not make you clever!!! We rise by lifting others... Let's try not to be k**bs today ok?!! Namaste.”
Yesterday Jess, 30, hit back at a recent suggestion that she had put on weight.
Looking very trim, while posing in her bikini, she wrote: “This video is REAL, UNEDITED, NORMAL EVERY DAY LIGHTING and this is ME, flaws and all.”
She said that “body shaming is real” and called the photos “hurtful” and not “a true representation” of herself and how she looks right now.
Earlier this year Vicky broke down in tears while discussing the effect negative comments has on her every day.
"I try so hard to put on this persona, this brave face, that you're strong, that you're hard, and that all the things people say about you don't affect you but they totally do,” she said on Loose Women.
"I struggle every day and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with all the negativity on social media."
Welling up with tears, she described the abuse she gets, telling her fellow panellists: “People tearing strips off ya because of the way you look is never nice, especially not for a woman, but I get everything from people saying I don't deserve to be where I am because of the past I've had.
"I don't want to be a role model for young girls and tell them to allow people to affect you how you feel about yourself, I want to be strong and I want to be positive but it's demoralising and it is constant.
"I want to say it's alright to be normal, it's alright to not be perfect, when I say these things I believe it, it's just takes a bit longer to catch up on the inside.
"You can tell yourself the positive things but believing it is a whole different matter."
