Gaz Beadles reveals ‘jail’ hell after being banged up in a deportation centre in Australia
The reality star was locked up in a cell after being refused entry into New Zealand
GERODIE Shore’s Gaz Beadle has opened up about his immigration hell after getting locked up in a military run Australian deportation centre.
The reality star, 28, first faced trouble when trying to fly to New Zealand during a recent promotional trip, after being denied entry due to Visa issues he was then locked up upon arrival in Melbourne.
“That quick chat ended up with me in a deportation centre. Not a jail cell, not a holding cell, a deportation centre.
“I walked into this place that was on a military base and was led to a room full of bunk beds with four other guys in it.
“I s*** you not, this was the weirdest f***ing thing I have ever experienced.”
The TV star then went on to reveal how he traded points for rations of food.
He added: “Mohammed, my cell mate, went on to explain that I had 25 points to spend per day and they got renewed tomorrow, f***ing buzzing, so I went in… Snickers, tins of tuna, Powerade, Haribo, and cigarettes (for Mohammed).
“Mo was telling me he had been in this place for three and a half years. Over three f-ing years. I was literally crapping myself.
“While I was locked up, my team were trying every possible way to get me home. I got told I couldn't fly through New Zealand, Dubai, America, Abu Dhabi, or internally through Australia. F***ing amazing.”
After finally being granted permission to head home on a flight through Thailand, the star admits he felt like he was on “Most Wanted’s list” as a “serious criminal.”
Concluding his ordeal, Gaz wrote: “When a country tells you you're not coming in with your f***ed-up passport ever again, I think you should listen to them.”
