Watch Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley’s first attempt to become a singing sensation in raunchy video before she joined the cobbles
The star stripped off and shared an intimate moment with her co-star in the video
SHE recently signed a record deal and is set to launch her singing career but it’s not the first time Catherine Tyldesley has tried to break into the music scene.
Back in 2010 – before she joined Corrie as Eva Price - the 32-year-old made her first attempt to become a singing sensation with the track Mad About The Boy.
But while her singing is certainly impressive in the old track, it is the raunchy video which is most memorable.
The blonde – who is now married and a mum-of-one – stars in the racy video with ex Manchester City player Jim Whitley.
The video begins with the blonde beauty emerging on a stage in a stunning gown with cut-out sections before being joined by Jim – who is now a wedding singer.
The next scene sees her rolling about in bed – apparently naked – as she struggles to sleep thinking about the boy.
She then proceeds to run her hand down Jim’s chest and kisses him, while in another shot he leans in to kiss her forehead gently.
Unfortunately despite the elegantly sexy video, Cath failed to become a household name with her voice – but went on to make a name for herself on the Cobbles.
Now she’s ready to give it another pop after signing a record deal in June with United Agents and she’s set to release her debut album this autumn.
The actress will be performing at a gig at cabaret Brasserie Zedel in London on Saturday September 3rd and then at the Lowry in Manchester in December, both times with a swing band called Top Cats.
Speaking about her career in music, she told The Cheshire magazine, she said: “I adore singing. I’ve just signed with a wonderful new music agent – Alex Fane. He really knows his stuff.”
“There’s lots of exciting things happening on the music front, too, at the moment. I can’t say too much but I’m pretty excited.”
She is even hoping to record a duet with X Factor winner and her Corrie co-star Shayne Ward, who plays her on-screen boyfriend Aidan Connor.
A source told the Sun Online Corrie bosses were 100 percent behind them.
They said: “The bosses are a bit more relaxed these days in letting artists go off for a few months here and there to do things like theatre and have a break from the daily toll of doing Corrie scenes.”
