Jake Quickenden reveals he WILL ask Carl Fogarty for permission to wed his daughter Danielle
The hunky singer talked about getting hitched on the Lorraine show
I'M A Celeb hunk Jake Quickenden is planning to propose to girlfriend Danielle in the traditional way - meaning her dad Carl Fogarty will know all the juicy details BEFORE she does.
The reality TV star was introduced to his lover by his ex jungle campmate Carl, after the pair struck up a firm friendship battling bugs and creepy crawlies on the show.
Jake and Danielle, 25, saw sparks fly at the after-show party last February and the X Factor reject was today quizzed by Gabby Roslin about how he would pop the big question.
Gabby, a stand-in host on the Lorraine show, cheekily said "I know someone who's hopefully going to be your father in law very soon.
"Are you going to ask him (Carl) first about her hand in marriage?"
Shunted onto the back foot Jake replied: "When it comes round to it, I will.
"I'm a bit old fashioned like that.
"I think you've got to, haven't you?"
Swiftly trying to steer clear of the suggestions to take his relationship to the next level he added: "When it comes round to it I will but like I say I'm part of the Lorraine family now.
"Danielle's started a new job, so everything's going really, really well."
Yet bubbly blonde Gabby was determined not to let the issue of his prospective nuptials with the beauty lie.
She continued: "And when you propose, don't forget I'd love to be there with a new hat," to which bashful Jake insisted: "You can come, you can come."
The popstar, who will soon go on tour, seemed completely besotted while chatting about girlfriend Danielle.
He sported a huge grin on his face as he accused Gabby of always probing about when he would pop the question.
He candidly admitted: "I can't really get my head around how quickly my life has moved since the X Factor and the jungle.
"I'm just so happy."

Jake and Carl became pally during their time Down Under and even teamed up for a three-day charity trek last July.
Meanwhile motorcycle racer Carl has previously said his potential son-in-law would not need to pass the "dad test".
He : "I’m glad she’s found someone she really likes.
"She’s so fussy. She’s only ever had one boyfriend since school, so we were getting a bit worried, to be honest. But I’m pleased for them both, he’s a good lad, I’ve got a lot of time for him."
