Inside Maura Higgins and Strictly boyfriend Giovanni Pernice’s romantic getaway with champagne and spa treatments

MAURA Higgins and her boyfriend Giovanni Pernice have given fans a sneak peek at their romantic mini-break in London.

The loved-up couple headed off on a fancy getaway to celebrate Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni turning 31.

Maura, 30, and Giovanni are staying at the 5-star Corinthia London and have been pampering themselves in the hotel's luxury spa.

Taking to Instagram, former Love Island star Maura has shown her followers a glimpse of their swish room, complete with a monstrous balloon arch.

The gold and black balloons have been entwined with white flowers and fill one corner, reaching from floor to ceiling.

In Maura's short clip, Giovanni's name can be seen spelt out on the arch and, sitting in front of it, is a silver trolley holding an ice bucket, a bottle of champagne and a delicious sweet treat.

Giovanni has also reposted the video on his Instagram page, writing: "You are the best @maurahiggins."

Earlier in the day, Maura and Giovanni had posed for a romantic selfie while wearing white bathrobes.

The couple snapped themselves in the lift as they headed down to breakfast followed by the spa.

Maura and Giovanni feasted on pancakes, fresh fruit, pastries, poached eggs and avocado on toast - all washed down with orange juice.

Meanwhile, Irish beauty Maura has also filmed a short clip of the view from their Juliette balcony. Panning up towards the bright blue sky, she simply captioned the video with "29C".

STRICTLY BUSINESS

Maura and Giovanni began dating earlier this year but only went public with their romance in August.

In the coming weeks, Giovanni will return to the ballroom for the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

However, Maura is said to have warned her man - who has history of dating women from the BBC1 show - to be 'respectful'.

It has already been revealed that the Irish beauty is "dreading" who her beau will be paired with.

To make matters worse, bosses are "desperate" to put the Italian hunk with Corrie star Katie McGlynn - but this could risk upsetting Maura as they were romantically linked five years ago.

The former grid girl reportedly "knows how flirty Giovanni can be", but doesn't want this to be the reason rumours start during his time on the show.
