See inside the £2.4 million French pad Posh and Becks are flogging as they pull out of Europe
Despite only visiting it a few times, the Beckhams have put their posh pad in France on the market
VICTORIA and David Beckham have put their £2million luxury retreat in the South of France on the market, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
The six bed property in the French village of Bargemon - which was dubbed Beckingham Palace-sur-Mer - is now on sale for a guide price of 2,75000 Euros.
And sources told how despite spending £5million on renovations, the pair decided to offload it after visiting on just a handful of occasions.
One said: “The Beckhams might have poured millions into the mansion, but they didn’t seem too keen to enjoy the results of their cash.
“The locals won’t miss them, as they were hardly ever here.
“When they were, David signed the odd autograph and he once had a kick-about with the villagers, but that was their only contact with them.
“You wouldn’t have seen Victoria queuing for a croissant in the village boulangerie.”
The former Spice Girl splurged £1.5million on the 19th Century home, near the Cote d-Azur, in 2003 after falling in love with its rustic charm.
And the sales brochure for the property shows off the assets that encouraged her to snap it up.
The ground floor boasts a state of the art kitchen and breakfast room, plush purple sitting room and a formal dining room with an open fireplace.
The first floor, which is accessed by two staircases, has a guest suite with private terrace, three lavish double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
And the second floor has a master bedroom - complete with chandelier - as well as a suite with a terrace that leads to the lush gardens.
A “superb” infinity pool is described by the brochure as offering “magnificent views of the woodland and meadow, pool-house and terrace.”
And a separate farm house has been converted into a guest house for visitors, while the on-site chapel is said to offer “additional potential.”
