I'VE GOT TWO LEFT FEET!'

TV presenter Jeff Stelling says he lacks skills but would love a shot at Strictly Come Dancing

The footie favourite has his sights set on the show's glitterball

SKY Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Strictly Come Dancing.

The much-loved Soccer Saturday host has told The Sun's TV Magazine that the BBC's ballroom show is one of the few reality shows he take part in.

In an exclusive interview with today's magazine – free inside The Sun – Jeff, 61, has hinted that he could be slipping into sequinned Spandex and flaunting a fake tan on Saturday nights this time next year.

He says: “I would consider doing one of those [reality] shows, depending what it was,” admits Jeff, who hosts ITV's new quiz show Alphabetical. "When I was 19, which was a very long time ago, I did ballroom-dancing classes – it was a great way to meet girls! – so something like Strictly Come Dancing, for sure. I wouldn’t have an unfair advantage because I’ve got two left feet now.”

However, Jeff has disappointing news for football fans who would like to see him take the reins at another BBC show – Match Of The Day.

He admits he's too loyal to his employers at Sky to ever consider replacing Gary Lineker on the world's longest-running footie series when the time comes for the former footballer to move on: “My loyalty is totally with Sky. Match Of The Day are in a straitjacket in terms of the hour they’ve got to sit and discuss things; I’d find that slightly frustrating. On Soccer Saturday we’ve got six hours.”

Unbelievable, Jeff!
