Former Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman takes on the title role and new pics show getting up close and personal with her co-star Tom Hughes, who plays Prince Albert.

In the new snaps, you can see the hunky actor moving in for a kiss with the young monarch.

The series will take us through the life of the young queen, who was crowned when she was just 18.

Although he tragically died aged 42, it is believed Victoria continued to have fresh clothes laid out for him until the day she died.

She went on to rule for 63 years, and was our longest-serving monarch until she was overtaken by our Queen last year.
