This Morning fans devastated as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford start FINAL week on show
THIS Morning's Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are hosting their last week on the popular show.
Ruth and husband Eamonn were back on ITV's flagship daytime show for six weeks in place of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes will take over from the veteran hosts next week.
This Morning fans had been lacking their Ruth and Eamonn fix since they were axed from the Friday edition of the show at the start of the year.
They kicked off their most recent stint of hosting on July 12, 2021, and will continue until August 27, 2021.
As they do every year, Holly and Phil have taken the summer holidays off.
But fans want Ruth and Eamonn to stay on hosting the popular morning show.
"Please can we keep Eamonn & Ruth. There's really no need to bring back Phil & Hollie, give them a year off [sic]," wrote one fan on Twitter.
Another added: "Petition to make Eamonn & Ruth present #ThisMorning forever."

And a third wrote: "Petition for Eamonn and Ruth to present full time. For good."
The veteran TV host and wife Ruth were victims of a major programme reshuffle last year which saw them dropped from the main show after a 14-year run.
Eamonn recently took a swipe at This Morning bosses by liking a tweet criticising them for 'relegating' him to holiday slots.
The tweet he liked read: "When you listen to @EamonnHolmes & @RuthieeL and the everyday normal things they get up to, it makes you wonder why management at @thismorning have relegated them to holidays only?
"They deserve a regular spot, bring them back for a weekly slot please, it makes sense! #thismorning."
The fan favourites were replaced in the regular Thursday and Friday slot by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
The pair previously impressed bosses when they hosted the show together last summer and producers were keen to add more diversity to the line-up.
A source told the Mirror at the time: "Eamonn is pretty furious and everyone feels for him and Ruth, they are well liked on the team, but sometimes tough decisions have to be made."
For three days before Holly and Phil get back, Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes will take over hosting duties.
The TV star will present the ITV show for three days from Tuesday August 31 alongside returning guest host Rochelle Humes.
Vernon said: “To be asked to guest host on a show I’ve watched since its inception is a huge tick for me.”
Former Saturdays star Rochelle will also host the show on Monday August 30 and Friday September 3 alongside Alison Hammond.

And Rochelle said: “I’m so looking forward to welcoming Vernon Kay into the This Morning family!”
Sources told how Vernon’s gig is part of a drive to try out new talent on the sofa, while the regular hosts are on holiday.
