Meryl Streep confuses Snapchat with ‘sexting’
The three-time Oscar winner isn't familiar with the popular app
MERYL Streep has revealed she doesn't know the difference between Snapchat and sexting.
The Hollywood legend and three-time Oscar winner thought there was a saucier side to the video and picture sharing app.
She told PrideSource: "Somebody told me that I Snapchatted but I don’t know how to Snapchat and I thought it was the thing that you do when you’re sexting sort of and then you want it to be erased.
"I didn’t know what they were talking about!"
The 67-year-old isn't wrong in her beliefs though as users can send any kind of messages, risque or otherwise, and they'll 'disappear' within 10 seconds.
Users can also add pictures and videos to their 'story' which are deleted after 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Meryl has revealed she would reprise her role of cut throat magazine editor in a Devil Wear's Prada sequel if the script was good enough.
The cult classic starring Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt celebrated its 10th anniversary this month which sparked calls for a sequel.
Emily recently said she would be interested in revisiting her role of bitchy, fashion obsessed assistant.
Meryl said: "In theory. But the heart sinks until you read the script.
"It's like, somebody said (they want a) "Mamma Mia 2!" and it just - ack! I thought, "Gram-Mamma Mia!"? Really? No. (Laughs)
"So it would depend on the script; the script is everything. If somebody has the imagination and wit to apply and has an interesting story, yeah, sure. But absent that, no."
