ERIC CLAPTON won’t be worried his latest record is a flop.

The monster catch was so big that Clapton, 71, had to run a kilometre down-river before finally managing to land it two and a half hours later.

At 108 cm and 28 pounds, Clapton’s was the largest of the season at the river, famed for the size of its salmon.

A local website described his catch as “no ordinary salmon”, but he still managed to lift it as he posed for a triumphant snap.

This is by no means Clapton’s first record — the singer has released 23 studio albums in his career, with nineties release Unplugged selling 26 million copies worldwide.

But forget vinyl, it’s all about streaming now.
