Brit actor Eddie Redmayne joins models Izabel Goular and Gisele in giving the Rio Olympics even more of a golden glow
THE time has finally come for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and celebs like Alessandra Ambrosio and Izabel Goulart couldn't be more excited.
The model was spotted at the sporting extravaganza along with the likes of Eddie Redmayne, Matthew McConaughey and Vivian Lake Brady, with plenty more expected to arrive for the upcoming games.
Izabel, 31, was given the great honour of carrying the Olympic torch to mark the start of this year’s Rio games.
The Brazilian native, who is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secrets model, dressed to impress on the opening night – showcasing her busty cleavage whilst wearing a classy white blazer and matching trousers.
Her fellow Brazilian beauty Alessandra Ambrosio turned up the heat as she attended a Coca-Cola experience bash on Monday night.
The 35-year-old showed off her svelte physique in a matching striped crop top and culotte trousers.
The Victoria's Secret model is back on home turf acting as a Cultural Ambassador for NBC's Olympic coverage.
She recently said that she is "so proud" that Rio is hosting the Olympics and that she's excited to spend some time in her home country.
Elsewhere, actor Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe were big fans of beach volleyball as they watched the USA vs Tunisia match.
The couple looked engrossed in the game as they too wore matching white outfits with Redmayne sporting a casual cap.
The pair cosied up together as they also watched the Men's 100m Breaststroke.
Fashion model Gisele Bundchen enjoyed a week's visit for the Rio games and is now heading back to the US with her children Vivian Lake Brady and Benjamin Brady.
The Brazilian beauty recently expressed her happiness at being home in Rio de Janeiro after taking an early morning beach walk on Friday with her sister Rafaela.
The 36-year-old showcased some cartwheels, clearly unable to contain her excitement for the big evening ahead.
The style icon certainly didn't disappoint as she strut her stuff in a silver gown at the opening ceremony.
But she admitted that she had trouble controlling her nerves as she took to the runway.
Speaking to TODAY, she said: "I was nervous. I just kept thinking to myself, 'I can't cry, I can't cry'.
"I just wanted to make the Brazilians proud, you know. Because they chose me to represent them, I didn't want to disappoint."
She walked out to the tune of The Girl From Ipanema which she said didn't help her nervousness and added: "'Girl From Ipanema' is such a historic thing for Brazil, you know? I mean, really, I feel so humbled and honored and I couldn't have been happier."
Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey was also among the stars who turned up to watch, and he was seen supporting team USA at one of the swimming events.
The Oscar winner passionately cheered the swimmers on, jumping to his feet in the stands and yelling throughout the race.
