Christopher Biggins gets a backdoor booting

Christopher Biggins was the runaway favourite to win CBB 18 in August 2016 as one of the most loved entertainers in the industry.

However, fans were outraged when the star was removed with seemingly next to no explanation.

He had made some shady comments ahead of his removal, claiming that bisexual people were “the worst”as they were “people not wanting to admit they were gay”, claimed that AIDS was a bisexual disease and said those who labelled themselves bi were using the term to appear “trendy”.

It was later alleged that he was removed due to a “Nazi joke” made in front of Jewish co-star Katie Waissel.

Biggins has since apologised for the comments and to Jewish housemate Katie Waissel for any upset he caused.

Tila Tequila axed after less than 48 hours in the house

US star Tila was removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house in summer 2015 after it was found she'd made comments sympathising with Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler.

During a string of blog posts and Twitter comments, she branded Hitler "a kind and sweet kid" and "a man of compassion" as well as using a string of anti-Semitic slurs.

In one shocking 2013 photoshoot, she even referred to herself as “Hitila” and posed in front of a concentration camp in a sexed up Nazi uniform.

After public outcry, the show removed her, and released a statement that read: “The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the programme was untenable,” they added.

She lasted less than 48 hours in the house and was later that year seen performing a Nazi salute at an alt-right rally in Washington, which got her suspended from Twitter.

Coolio's bust-up with Nadia Almada

US rapper Coolio made it on to two series of the hit show - first in the regular series in 2009, and then the "Ultimate" series that took place in 2010.

During his tenure as a housemate, hundreds of people complained he was sexist due to his treatment of female housemates, including Liberty X's Michelle Heaton.

However, in Ultimate Big Brother, he was seen getting in a vicious war with transgender BB4 winner, Nadia Almada.

Seemingly unaware of how offensive he was being, he was also completely unapologetic as he objectified the women in the house.

These included leering at the women and referring to them as having “some of the best looking a**es he’d ever seen” and how he would go into the bathroom to look at them as “it wouldn’t cost him a penny.”

Ken also later told Chloe Goodman that she had inadvertently encouraged Jeremy Jackson to pull open her robe and try and grope her for wearing it in front of him.

He was eventually removed for referring to Frank Bruno as a “n***o” during discussion.

On Loose Women shortly after his ejection, he apologised for the racist comment – calling it an “outdated” term that he didn’t mean to use as a term of offence.

However, he refused to say sorry for his comments on the women in the house.

Jade insisted that her comments were not racially motivated and apologised for any offence

Returning with her mum Jackiey and other half Jack Tweedy for CBB in 2007, she caused controversy after being accused of bullying another housemate.

Alongside S Club 7's Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd, she racked up a record 44,500 complaints over her treatment of Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty.

After outrage on an international scale, Jade was evicted to complete silence after Big Brother took the unprecedented decision to not have a live audience waiting for her.

It was later revealed that she was scared for her life and worried that she would be attacked during eviction night.

She always denied that her comments were racially motivated, and said: "People think I'm a racist *****. "I've never been more scared in my life."

Vanessa Feltz's scribbling

Vanessa appeared on the first series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2001.

During one memorable scene she was seen scrawling words on a table as Big Brother asked her to stop.

Fellow housemates Jack Dee and Claire Sweeney claimed to be worried about her mental stability, but Vanessa claims she was just bored of her surroundings.

"It was a blinding moment when I suddenly realised that there was no Big Brother," she said. "It was just a researcher."

"I suddenly thought I'm not going to give back the chalk we had for the shopping list."

She has since returned for the spin-off shows and one-off appearances as part of tasks.

Denise Welch pulls down Karissa Shannon's trousers

TV presenter Denise Welch caused outrage in 2012 when she pulled down Playboy twin Karissa Shannon’s pajama bottoms in the house.

She insisted she was joking, but Karissa didn't see it that way and threatened to sue.

The incident split the house, with Nicola Mclean furious on Karissa's behalf.

"I stepped in because I am an ex-Page 3 girl and have exposed my body for a living," she said.

"Just because I have done that doesn’t mean people have a right to lift my top up or pull my pants.

“I genuinely believe if a man had done that he would have been kicked out."

Pete Burns brings in "gorilla fur" coat

The late Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns became an iconic housemate in 2006, but was never short of causing an outcry.
Shortly after entering the house, their beloved fur coat, which they boasted was made of gorilla, was removed by BB bosses as it was illegal to own things made from the animal.

Pete was only made aware that the coat had been taken after the police had bosses removed it from the house and furiously entering the diary room, they demanded it back.

When told the reasons why the coat was removed, the confused star exclaimed: "My coat's been arrested?!"
It was later revealed to be made of Colobus Monkey and - while it was still an endangered animal - it was believed the vintage item was made before the ban on its fur took place, so was returned.
