Christopher Biggins pulls out of live TV apology on This Morning following CBB Nazi gag
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate's no-show was announced half an hour before programme's start
ENTERTAINMENT legend Christopher Biggins has pulled out of his live appearance on This Morning following his Celebrity Big Brother Nazi gag.
The 67-year-old panto star, who was booted off the Channel 5 reality show last week, was expected to make an apology live on air, but his no-show was announced via social media just half an hour before the ITV programme began.
The tweet by This Morning's official account read: "Unfortunately, @onebiggins can no longer join us in the studio, but he has given us a special message which we will read out on today's show."
In the message read out by This Morning's showbiz correspondent Rylan Clark, Christopher said: "Once again I wanted to say how very sorry and shocked I am about what’s happened.
"I’ve been so moved by some of the amazing and kind support I’ve been getting since being removed from the Big Brother house. Thank you.
"For now I’m taking some time out to be with loved ones, I hope you all understand. Love Biggins."
He said: "You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room."
The Panto star now admits that he was making a joke about Nazis, who gassed Jews in shower blocks.

Biggins' short time on the show has been mired in controversy with him also being pulled up on comments he made about AIDS and bisexuals.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the tearful star said: "I found Katie and said ‘I am mortified. I would never do anything to upset you. I love you and I’m really sorry’.
