Celebrity Big Brother fix scandal as fans accuse show of attempting to cover-up Biggins Nazi and AIDS controversy
Christopher Biggins was removed from the show on Friday after shocking comments
CELEBRITY Big Brother fans have accused Channel 5 of fixing the show to cover up Christopher Biggins' controversial Nazi comment.
The 67-year-old was kicked out of the Big Brother house on Friday after making the sick joke in the presence of Jewish housesmate Katie Waissel.
Biggins also made controversial comments about people with AIDS during his time in the house, and the decision to cut the scenes from the programme while other housemates have had their warnings from Big Brother aired in full has led some fans to believe producers were trying to fix the show so Biggins could win, and the star himself seemingly agrees.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun's Dan Wootton, Biggins said: "I think Channel 5 were trying to protect me by not screening it."
One fan blasted on Twitter: “So BB tried to cover up and didn’t show Biggins saying anything about Jews", while another wrote: “Fix! Sorry not watching any more."
Christopher's removal from the house came after he made a concentration camp “joke” to the former X Factor star, 30, as fellow housemates rowed in the bathroom.
He said: “You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room.”
The Panto star now admits that he was making a joke about Nazis, who gassed Jews in shower blocks.
He said: “I suppose I was, yes. But it didn’t occur to me that’s what I was referring to.”
However Biggins insists Katie had forgiven him for his controversial comments.
After receiving his formal warning, the panto legend took the singer aside and apologised, saying: "I found Katie and said ‘I am mortified. I would never do anything to upset you. I love you and I’m really sorry’.
Following his removal from the house, Big Brother finally broadcast his warnings on Saturday, but when approached by the , who asked why they had been kept under wraps until then, a show spokesman would only say: “Editorial decisions around the content that we choose to air are the domain of Channel 5 and [show makers] Endemol.”
Biggins is now planning to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp
, but will not be able to use any money from his week in the Celebrity Big Brother house after bosses refused to pay his £150,000 fee following his comments and subsequent removal from the house.
