“It’s something I’ve always had a passion for but I don’t think people would take me seriously because I’m in the public eye now.”

In the past, much of her career has centred around fashion and style. Up until around 2008 she had a column in Closer before going on to write a weekly style and news column for OK! magazine.

Coleen has also pocketed millions from modelling, including £3million from George at Asda and another £3million from Nike, Littlewoods and LG combined.

However she has had a few presenting stints. In 2006 she appeared alongside Sir Trevor McDonald in a documentary about the brain disorder Rett Syndrome, which her little sister Rosie suffered from. The 14-year-old died in 2013.

She also starred in her own ITV series 'Coleen's Real Women'.

The Rooneys have had a tough time over this summer. Earlier this week it was exclusively revealed by The Sun that masked raiders had broken into their £6million Cheshire mansion on Wednesday while Wayne was playing his testimonial match. The England manager was said to be "deeply shocked" by the events.

One resident in the village of Prestbury, Cheshire, said: “Wayne has amazing security to make sure his wife Coleen and the kids are OK while he is away.

“It’s like a fortress. It was like something out of a movie with alarms shrieking and search lights flashing on.

“The police seemed to appear from nowhere.

“They were swarming all over the place.”
