Joel Corry says he’s flooded with saucy DMs from female fans & insists ‘no bad blood’ with ex Sophie Kasaei

JOEL Corry has revealed that he’s been flooded with saucy DMs from female fans – and insisted there’s “no bad blood” with Geordie Shore ex Sophie Kasaei.

The DJ and producer, 32, said that he’s “feeling on top of the world” after a string of successful hits, admitting it’s been the “biggest 12 months of his life”.

The Head and Heart hitmaker said that he’s remained focused on his career and hasn’t had time for dating – but joked that his DMs are rife with messages from female fans.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Joel said: “I’m 100 per cent single. I’ve just been so focused on my music and what I’m doing that I haven’t found that I’ve had time in my life for that which probably is a little bit sad.

“I’m just so focused and happy with what I’m doing.

“I’m not going to lie, the DMs are active, lots of cheeky messages, but I’m totally kind of focused on music and stuff.

“But obviously summer is here now and touring has started again so the DMs have got a bit active again.”

‘NO BAD BLOOD’

Joel, who appeared on the hit MTV UK reality show Geordie Shore alongside Sophie, said that he was touched when she reached out to him after his music success.

The musician said: “It was so nice when Sophie reached out, we’ve spoken a couple of times here and there.

“I think she’s doing really well. There is absolutely no bad blood between us at all.

“I was really grateful for her to reach out, during those years she always knew what my dream was and we were together for like five years.

“I always talked about this is what I wanted to happen, so I’m sure when it did happen, she was probably happy for me.

“I hope she is doing well and big love.”

‘IN THE STUDIO WITH MABEL AND JAX JONES’

Since his No1 collaboration with MNEK, Joel has been in the studio working with a variety of global artists.

The Bed hitmaker teased new music with pop sensation Mabel, DJ Jax Jones and more hits with superstar David Guetta.

He revealed: “I’ve been lucky enough to be in the studio with some amazing artists, I’ve been working with Mabel recently.

“Jax Jones I’ve been in the studio lots recently, I was in the studio with David Guetta last week as well.

“I’ve got some amazing music coming which I am excited about, that’s all I can say for now.”

The DJ, who recently said his dream would be work with Ed Sheeran, has also exclusively revealed that he’s dropping a new remix of Ed Sheeran’s latest track Bad Habits soon.

He continued: “I haven’t got a reply back on the DM’s but I don’t think Ed would see my DMs because he’s probably got millions of people DMing him.

I don’t think he uses it that much. But I am working on a remix of his brand new single Bad Habits which is going to be dropping soon.”

‘DAVID GUETTA LOVES THE FLAME EMOJI’

Joel also opened up about working with songwriter and record producer MNEK on his hit single Head and Heart – which remained at No1 for six weeks.

He said: “MNEK has become such a good friend of mine now, we’ve worked on other records together, we’re always in the studio together.

“I’m so happy to have shared this journey of Head and Heart with him as a number one single.

“My latest single is with the absolute legend David Guetta. I’m literally taking to David all the time now and he’s become a friend. We’ve been in the studio together.

“We have this Bed Whatsapp group -Guetta just jumps in with loads of emojis. He’s always putting the fire flame in the chat.”

Joel, who played his first Ibiza set since Covid, said that he worked hard to prove that he was more than just a reality star.

He explained: “I loved my time on Geordie Shore and I’m so grateful for that experience, it was amazing memories.

“It definitely did put up some hurdles for me, there is a stigma around reality TV.

“To me this is just another challenge and more motivation to work harder and keep proving myself. So I just turned it into a positive.

“It has been the biggest 12 months of my life….. I’m just excited for the future, I’m on top of the world right now. It’s been an amazing year.

“There is pressure going forward because of the success that has happened but this pressure for me is a really positive

“I need to collaborate with more global artists, just keep building on what I am doing now….my dreams are to basically take over the world.”
