Ferne Cotton sparks debate on Instagram after sharing picture of her redhead toddler
Proud mum loves her little girl's hair - but some people have a different opinion
FEARNE Cotton inadvertently sparked a furious debate about redhead children when she posted a picture of her daughter on Instagram.
She shared a snap of 11-month-old Honey's hair, gushing to fans: "My little red head bed head #honeykrissy."
But while she clearly loves the hue of her daughter's barnet, not everyone shares her enthusiasm.
Soon the comments section of the post were filled with anecdotes about having - or hating - red hair.
One fan wrote: "My daughter is a red head. Someone on Facebook told me I had to dye her hair as she hated red heads.
"It all kicked off as you can imagine. I'm proud to have a red head baby (16wks old) it doesn't make me love her any less."
Another, touched by her plight, soothed: "That's terrible, I can't believe someone would be so horrible about your beautiful children. There are some nasty people out there!X"
However, the anti-ginger sentiments took an unexpected turn when the poster revealed it was a FAMILY MEMBER who had urged her to dye her tot's hair.

She posted: "I know, and then person who said it is meant to be my sister in law."
Thankfully for Fearne, 34, she doesn't seem to have any problems with her in-laws not liking little Honey's hair.
She's also mum to son Rex with husband Jesse Wood, son of Rolling Stone legend Ronnie.
