Spice Girls ‘new’ song Feel Your Love was slammed as ‘too rude’ to be released 25 years ago because of sexy lyrics

IT was deemed too rude for release 25 years ago.

But the Spice Girls have finally put out Feed Your Love, which was one of their first songs and is all about a sex act.

Yesterday they released a demo of the sultry R&B ballad – the first new music since 2007 song Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) – as they celebrated a quarter of a century since debut single Wannabe.

But the suggestive lyrics leave little to the imagination, which is why it never got airplay in the Nineties.

In the chorus, the girls, above, sing: “Feed your love to me, feed it to me, boy. ’Cause I need to know that you care, I need to know that you care.

“Feed your love to me, baby. ’Cause I really, really, really wanna share my secrets with you.”

In the second verse, they sing: “I’ve got the man I love, he’s gracious and good to me. Do just what you wanna do for the rest of the night.”

At more than five minutes long, the demo was released on the girls’ Wannabe25 EP, along with the original version of Wannabe.

They made the right choice in going with Wannabe, rather than Feed Your Love, all those years ago.
