KATIE Price admitted she banned her youngest kids from seeing her after her brutal surgery as she feared she "looked like a monster".

The mum-of-five was left swollen, battered and bruised after going under the knife in red-list Turkey three weeks ago - and she doesn't want to scare Bunny, six, or Jett, seven.

Our exclusive pictures showed her looking unrecognisable as she lay in her hospital bed recovering.

She told us: “I’ve been away from my kids for three weeks which has been awful but I’ve been Facetiming them.

“I wouldn’t let my younger kids or Harvey see me like this though."

Revealing how she has suffered through the process, she said: “Honestly, I’ve gone to hell and back, it was horrific — ‘Oh my God  I look like a monster out of a horror movie’.

“I just thought, ‘This is it, I’m going to die. I was terrified of looking like a freak, like that Bride of Wildenstein or a fake doll.

“I’ve woken up with holes and stitches all over my body. I look like I’ve got cat’s whiskers coming out of my nose and eyes. But I just want the old Katie back!”

Explaining why she left the country for her operation, Katie said: “Turkey is the best place for surgery.  I’ve got to isolate at home for five days, even though I’m double-jabbed.

Despite the traumatic ordeal, Katie wouldn't rule out further procedures.

She said: “No I’d do it again . . maybe in five to ten years.”
