Talk show radio host James Whale has provided his fair share of entertainment to radio lovers over the decades, but how will CBB viewers respond to his aggressive style?
The father of two currently hosts BBC Essex, is a fan of Margaret Thatcher, and believes that recycling is a ‘joke’.

How do we know him?
James came to national attention when he hosted the James Whale Show in the late eighties.
Known for dry wit and confrontational approach, James would often hang up on callers if he disagreed with them, or if he felt they did not make their point succinctly.
The presenter spent another thirteen years at talkSPORT radio, before he broke Ofqual rules by giving unequivocal endorsement to Boris Jonson in the London 2008 Mayoral election.
TalkSPORT was fined £20,000, and Whale was fired.
What has he been up to since?
James has hosted BBC Essex for the last few years.
He managed to land himself in trouble over his rudeness to an Australian guest on his show. Whale told Australian-Italian singer Leila Di Domencio that her accent was ‘slovenly’ and asked why she was ‘taking our jobs’ when she hadn’t ‘learned to speak properly’.
What can we expect from him in the house?
James has already started acting out: he controversially announced 'men and women aren't equal' to a booing Big Brother audience.
The drama continued as he poured an entire packet of coffee over Stephen Bear’s head in a moment of animalistic territorial marking that CBB viewers have come to know and love.
