Katherine Ryan is left furious after her husband’s ex DMs him just days after she gives birth
KATHERINE Ryan has revealed her fury after her husband's ex slid into his DMs just days after giving birth to their son.
The comedian welcomed baby boy Fred with husband Bobby Kootstra on June 13 and announced the birth six days later on Instagram.

But Katherine, 37, was left shocked when her husband's ex sent him a message on the same day as their baby announcement.
Taking to her podcast , the mum-of-two said she worried for her mental health after the ex reached out.
Having defended herself as not easily upset, she added: "I thought, 'Oh no, I love being peaceful. What if that is taken away from me?'
"Don't worry - it wasn't. I have remained cool, calm and collected. But two days ago something occurred in my relationship that threatened that peace.

"I had a baby six days before, so I was having some human feelings. Less of my robot - always happy - always calm self."
She went on to explain that was the moment her husband "received a DM from a woman he casually dated years ago".
"We have been married for two years so before that when he was living in Canada and single so whatever," Katherine added, before reading the text aloud.
"This message says, 'Oh hey, small world. I have a mutual friend with one of your wife's exes'," she read aloud from her husband's phone.

The comedian said she was torn between ignoring the woman, who had a "lovely, friendly tone", or telling her to "get off her lawn".
"Would I look on social media and see someone I casually dated just had a baby with their wife six days ago and message them? No. I am not an animal," Katherine lashed out.
"Some of us were raised by wolves. I would never have sent that message but fine. I just had a baby and now the demon was brought in the room."
Katherine explained that she has some ex partners that she no longer talks to, and does not talk about with friends and family.

"I don't want to hear their names. This is an ex who doesn't like me who won't have nice things to say about me and I didn't like that," she said.
"I didn't like that she was like, 'We have this ex of hers as a mutual friend.' I know that wouldn't have been a complimentary conservation.
"There is no way that this person would have been like, I love Katherine! Great break up! Totally demolished me. I had great experiences with her'."
She concluded that the incident was "not cool", but didn't want to be "embarrassing" by making a scene about the message.

"I deemed it inappropriate because I don't like the ex and the ex doesn't like me and because I had just had the baby six days ago," she went on.
She said the woman had "obviously" seen she had just given birth and so should've "left that outside" and kept it to herself.
"Don't give these things enough status to discuss them in your relationship," she advised fans who may have gone through the same thing, however.

Katherine, who has daughter Violet from a previous relationship, dated Bobby when she was 15 before the pair lost touch for many years.
