COMEDIAN Katherine Ryan posed for a picture with her newborn son as she announced the new addition to her family.

The Canadian funny-woman cuddled up with her partner Bobby, daughter Violet and newborn son Fred for an adorable family photo.

Ryan and her partner Bobby Kootstra left the Lindo Wing in London, after Katherine gave birth on June 13th.

The 37-year-old, smiled for a make up-free selfie with her little boy Fred cradled in her arms.

The comedian captioned the post with a witty joke, commenting on her pale complexion.

Katherine wrote: "Midwife: I’m worried you’re anemic.".

"No, ma’am. Just Irish.".

The star's friend and Irish television presenter, Angela Scanlon quipped: "Alabaster babe".

Love Island star India Reynolds commented: "Beautiful! Congratulations! X".

Proud older sister Violet, 11, stood over Bobby as she gazed lovingly at her younger brother.

Violet, who is Katherine's daughter from a previous relationship was born in 2009.

Katherine's partner took to Instagram to announce the birth.

Taking to his Instagram page, the new dad wrote: "Our son Frederick Ryan Kootstra, born June 13th:)
