Katherine Ryan gives birth just two weeks after announcing she was pregnant
KATHERINE Ryan has given birth to her second child - just two weeks after announcing she was pregnant.
The comedian, 37, shared a picture of herself lying beside her little one and told fans: "I have a really good reason yesterday's podcast was late."
The stand-up comic and Duchess star revealed she was expecting her second child two weeks ago.
Yesterday she showed off her baby bump as she soaked up the sun - presumably just hours before giving birth.
Katherine has been in a civil partnership with childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra since 2019, and this will be their first baby together.
She is already mum to 11-year-old Violet, who joined her famous mum on stage as she revealed her pregnancy.
The star unveiled her huge bump at a show in North London last month where she recorded podcast Telling Everybody Everything.
Little Violet thrilled Katherine's fans as she sweetly acknowledged the pregnancy - telling the audience that she was "very excited" to be a big sister.
Katherine recently hit out at "sexist" remarks when she was asked if she would cancel her comedy tour.
In a video, the Canadian said: “I've received a lot of really touching nice messages and a lot of rude messages.
"And a lot of messages - a lot of messages - asking if I'm gonna cancel my tour.”
She concluded: "I'm just gonna let that sexism wash over me. I'm not gonna let it affect my zen. No, I'm not cancelling my tour."
In a true fairytale romance, Katherine and Bobby dated for a year when she was 15, but they lost touch for two decades before a chance encounter brought them back together.
She previously said of their teen romance: "When we were young, I was deeply in love with him. We were prom king and queen."

She called Bobby her "first love", and Violet, who she shares with a former boyfriend, the "love of her life".
Katherine kept her pregnancy a secret by only posting selfies from the shoulders up on her Instagram page.
Recent TV appearances also saw the comic cover up in baggy clothes, with a hint of a bump seemingly visible during filming for Beat The Chasers: Celebrity Special back in March.
