Nadia Sawalha describes her daughter’s ‘ugly duckling’ phase after Katie Price’s revelation about her kids
Loose Women star made the admission just a day after Katie branded her own children 'ugly'
NADIA Sawalha had the Loose Women panel in stitches today as she described her daughter's awkward growing pains a day after fellow host Katie Price branded her own kids "ugly" on the show.
Katie declared her babies were far from beautiful after they were born, and Nadia went on to reveal one of her little girls earned the nickname "Nanny McPhee" due to a rogue tooth.
Nadia made the confession on today's show, revealing one of her two daughters suffered a "really bad" ugly duckling phase.
She explained that her girl cut her own hair very badly, and had dental problems which made her resemble Emma Thompson's buck-toothed character in the popular children's films.
Nadia said: "She had her ugly duckling stage and it was really bad... she'd say it herself...
"She'd obviously played hairdressers and not told me - she cut a big lump and it grew outwards and one her teeth that was loose but didn't fall out...
"It grew straight out and stuck out of her lips, we used to call her Nanny McPhee..."
However, Nadia insisted the nickname was all in good fun and her daughter is "gorgeous now".
She added: "She loved it [the nickname], she said it as well, it's fine..."
Nadia has two daughters, Maddy, 13, and Kiki, eight, with her TV producer husband Mark Adderley.
The other panelists burst into giggles following Nadia's confession, and it prompted guest host Martine McCutcheon to reveal her own ugly duckling phase.
