LOVE Island's Alexandra Cane under fire for slamming Covid vaccine as "experimental" and claiming "we're in World War 3".

The reality TV star, 29, told fans she would "not subscribe to fear" as she refused to get the jab.

“I personally will not be getting it as it is very much in the experimental stages and I have no idea of the after effects,” said Alexandra.

“I am a sovereign being who has the basic human right of deciding what I believe is best for my body. I choose not to inject something that I have not much information of, nor do I wish to follow suit because others are.”

She added: “Be mindful the mass media is just one narrative.”

The star - who coupled up with Doctor Alex George on the fourth season of the UK reality show in 2018 - passionately defended her choice, adding: "I believe the mind and body are connected and finding energetic within the vessel that is made up of trillions of cells (energy)."

Professor Stephan Lewandowsky, Chair in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Bristol, told i: “Celebrities are entitled to their opinions, but they must also exercise that entitlement responsibly.

“In this case, the claims are irresponsible because they are false and misleading.

"To date, more than 2,000,000,000 doses of vaccines have been administered globally after being thoroughly tested.”

"I'm entitled to my own opinion, as are you," said Alexandra following backslash.

"People calling me brave because most are living in fear... let me say this.. do what works for you.

"I'm just reminding you that you have a CHOICE and don't deserve to be bullied into getting something that doesn't resonate for you.

"Don't let people make you feel guilty about choosing YOU.

"It is not selsih.

"We need to hold ourselves accountable for our life choices. That may upset some, it may empower others... either way I won't be silenced."

Alexandra then warned fans she was about to post a "bold statement, adding: "But I'm going to say it... We are in World War 3.

"It's an internal war which is why its an even bigger battle.

"Speaking up/using our voices and standing for what we believe is right will gain us our freedom.

"We are not free if we are dependant on a system that keeps failing us time and time again.

"Wishing the world would go back to normal is running away from the fact that our freedom is being taken away from us a little bit more every day.

"This isn't about protecting our health. This is about money and greed.

"They want us to divide but we are here to unite."
