He also revealed that youngest son Freddie, 11, is quite the budding artist.

Proud Jeff explained: “It has been quite frustrating with Freddie recently because he loves art – he’s so good at drawing.

“You can see he finds it really expressive and it’s not something I was particularly into, but that’s not going to stop me from trying to encourage him.”

He continued: “I took him to an art class and for some reason he hated it. It was one of those really frustrating moments for parents when you think ‘hold on, you’re drawing at home all the time, I’ve taken you to an art class, surely you’d be enthusiastic? It’s as simple as that!’ But it isn’t.

“Maybe he didn’t like the large group, maybe he didn’t like the teacher… I’ve no idea because I couldn’t get it out of him.

Jeff has been trying his hand at being a Lollipopper

“What I’m going to try is a one-on-one session with maybe an art student who I’m sure would be happy to earn a couple of quid and pass on what they’re learning as well.

“Especially as Freddie’s going to senior school in September there are going to be so many opportunities available to him.”

Jeff himself has been trying out a new skill of late.

He recently paid a visit to his old primary school to learn the ropes as a Lollipop person.
