ALL OVER FOR FIRST HATERS

Couple who got engaged on First Dates with Haribo ring split after eight months

Plucky Scott popped the question with a HARIBO ring on Channel 4 show, but things appear to have gone sour

PROPOSING with a Haribo ring in a restaurant full of cameras should have been a tell-tale sign of what was to come.

The first couple to get engaged on Channel 4’s First Dates have split just eight months after the big question was popped.

Viewers saw Scott White and Victoria Wills get engaged as part of the Christmas special after they previously hit it off on the show, which sees punters go on a blind date.

But things have gone sour with Victoria deleting all trace of him from her social networks and Scott is now using dating app Happn to try and get back in the game.

A source said: “They both thought getting engaged would end up with them going down the aisle and being very happy together but it hasn’t worked out.

“There was a huge song and dance around them when Scott popped the question and people thought it was great they had found love through such unusual circumstances.

“But it just hasn’t worked out. Scott is back looking for love and the fact she’s deleted all traces of him suggests it’s far from amicable.”

Or perhaps she doesn’t want Scott putting off potential suitors.

Royal treat

STRICTLY fans will be royally surprised by CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD’s choice of replacement for head judge LEN GOODMAN.
He wants CAMILLA PARKER BOWLES to take the hot seat on the BBC dance show, when Len leaves after 12 years at the end of this year. Craig said: “When it comes to my dream new judge – well, it’s got to be my friend the Duchess of Cornwall.
“I’ve been desperate to get a royal on the show. Camilla could be just wonderful.”

THE cast of Cold Feet certainly aren’t suffering from, er, cold feet at their impending reunion on the hit show.
JOHN THOMSON, JAMES NESBITT, FAY RIPLEY, HERMIONE NORRIS and ROBERT BATHURST, look delighted to be back together after 13 years off the box.

In fact they look even better than they did in their 1998 series debut.
Good genes . . . or great TV make-up.

Pip quips

PRINCESS DIANA’s wedding dress designer DAVID EMANUEL gives ruthless advice to brides-to-be on US reality show Say Yes to the Dress.
And now he’s ready to do the same with PIPPA MIDDLETON ahead of her wedding to James Matthews next year.
He said: “As long as she wears the complete opposite of her sister the DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE then she stands a chance.
“She’s not a royal and she’s never going to be.”
David, whose UK version of the show is on TLC on August 12 at 9pm, added: “You should never compare two brides but it will be very different with Pippa. She’s got a great shape.”
I’m sure her dress choice will be just peachy.
