Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock reveal they burst into tears after learning they were both pregnant
LITTLE Mix stars Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock revealed they burst into tears after learning they were both pregnant.
Recalling the moment she discovered Leigh-Anne was expecting, Perrie, who will welcome her first with Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, said: “We were on a work zoom and we were chatting about things that were coming up in our schedule because in Little Mix we are blocked out two years in advance.
“I was thinking, I won’t be able to do that.
“I messaged my manager and she called me and said, ‘You’re pregnant.'
"I was like, ‘How do you know? And she said, ‘Because I am pregnant.’ Then she said: ‘Can I add someone to the call.’
“I just heard this voice that said: ‘Perrie! You too!’ And then we just cried our eyes out. What timing! It wasn’t planned.”
In an interview for TikTok with their bandmate Jade Thirlwall, which coincided with the release of Heartbreak Anthem, the new song by Galantis which they feature on with David Guetta, the pair also opened up about their odd pregnancy cravings.
Leigh-Anne, who is expecting her tot with Watford footballer Andre Gray, said: “Prawn sandwiches but the M&S kind and Frazzles.
Perrie added: “Mine is Toxic waste, you know the barrel. All I wanted was sour. But I loved it. Brain lickers, juicy drop pops – anything sour. That was when I was feeling really sick but I feel fine now.”
Meanwhile the trio’s former bandmate Jesy Nelson revealed today she had signed her first solo record deal with Polydor and told fans to expect her debut record later this year.
She added: “I cannot wait for you to hear what I’ve been working on.”
