What would Harry Potter say? Rupert Grint spotted smoking and drinking beer on a day out at theme park
The actor looked a far cry from little Ron Weasley
WE know him best as the ginger-haired side-kick to Harry Potter.
But as he enjoyed a day out at Thorpe Park last week Rupert Grint looked worlds away from the fresh-faced Ron Weasley.
The actor - who is now 27 years old - seems to have ditched every last inch of his child-star past as he strolled around sipping on beer and puffing on cigarettes.
Going almost incognito the star, who was just 11 when he was first cast in the franchise, wore a cap pulled down over his famous red hair and a pair of shades to keep his eyes covered.
Looking laid back he wore a pair of jeans with a black T-shirt and an on-trend bomber jacket - a far cry from the geeky outfits Ron would wear.
Rupert was joined at the park by a female companion, who was sat beside him as he tried out the various rides.
In between the thrills Rupert could be seen refreshing with a cold bottle beer or two and shedding his on-screen persona once and for all - he could be seen enjoying a smoke.
Rupert has kept a relatively low profile since the Harry Potter franchise came to an end - while his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) and Emma Watson (Hermione) have remained very much in the limelight.
