Coronation Street spoiler: Peter Barlow to cause trouble for Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley?

Corrie fans were delighted to hear that Peter Barlow is set to return to the cobbles, however arch enemy Nick Tilsey won’t be as he threatens to cause trouble between him and Leanne Battersby.

The on/off lovers will finally begin to get back on track despite Leanne being pregnant with Steve McDonald’s baby following a one night stand.

Even Leanne’s son Simon is over the moon.

However being a soap of course, nothing is ever plain sailing.

Teasing drama following former flame Peter’s return later this year, Leanne actress Jane Danson told The Sun Online: “There’s history there with the three of us.”

Nick actor Ben Price chipped in: “I hate him! So that’s my history.”

Jane continued: “Leanne still likes him [Peter Barlow] a bit though if she’s honest. He’s the Battersby side of her that kind of intrigues her.

“It’s safe with Nick and it’s all lovely, but there’s an element of danger with Pete and she quite likes that.”

Speaking about teen Simon’s reaction to her reuniting with her first love Nick, she said: “He’s just pleased because he has always wanted the same thing that Leanne has wanted, a bit of stability – he has always wanted a family unit.

“He loves Nick because his family’s always coming and going. But again because Peter’s coming back that could fracture this family unit that we’ve got going on.”

The 37-year-old concluded: “It’s very exciting.”
