He bagged the gong for British Single with Mastercard for his hit song Watermelon Sugar.
But it was his accent that stole the show during his short speech, in which he generously dedicated his award to the NHS heroes and keyworkers.
"I just continue to be baffled by moments like this," said 27-year-old Harry who was born in Worcestershire, England.
"They make me more and more incredibly grateful that I get to do this job every day.
"I am really happy and proud to be here celebrating British music tonight.
"I want to thank my friends for being so generous to me, always. And everyone who always has my back.
"Thank you so much to everything you did for our country, this one is for you."
One viewer said: "Since when did Harry Styles have an American accent?"
Another admitted: "Idk what I screamed more at, @Harry_Styles winning best British single or that American accent. The man doesn’t disappoint."
Another added: "harry styles pack that accent in lad."
Someone else asked: "What the bloody HELL is Harry Styles accent!?"
Others focused on Harry's touching message to keyworkers who helped keep the country running amid the coronavirus pandemic.
One praised him saying: "Harry made sure not to leave out the #keyworkers when collecting his British Single award."
Another added: "OMG HARRY STYLES GAVE HIS SECOND MINI BRIT TO KEYWORKERS. HAS HARRY STYLES JUST GIVEN ME A BRIT AWARD (this is the one and only time I will milk the keyworker thing and call myself a keyworker)."
Proving he has been taking precautions seriously, Harry looked to be one of the only stars who was wearing a mask at the event.
Tonight’s show was part of the Government’s Events Research Programme, which examines the risk of Covid transmission at public events to work out ways to hold them safely.
Rigorous testing was put in place and all 4,000 people attending the ceremony had to take an assisted lateral flow test within 36 hours before the bash to show their negative result.
Everyone attending was also asked to take a PCR test at home, which is to be posted the same day, with another to be done five days later.

The result of such testing means that once guests are inside the O2, social distancing was deemed unnecessary.
Organisers said masks should have been worn while people were moving within communal areas, but it appears Harry was being extra careful as the other stars didn't wear one to walk on stage.
