Onlookers terrified as huge Towie ruck kicks off at Sugarhut… before the cameras even start rolling
Reality stars Tommy Mallet and Dan Edgar were embroiled in a massive bust-up at Essex venue last night
DINERS at the Sugarhut venue in Essex were left terrified last night when the cast of Towie became embroiled in a huge bust-up.
A row between Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet turned nasty and prompted a vicious altercation involving Dan Edgar.
Stars of the hit reality show including Megan McKenna and Gemma Collins headed to the Brentwood bar and restaurant to begin filming a new episode.
However, The Sun Online can exclusively reveal the drama began before the cameras started rolling.
An onlooker has told us a huge bust-up took place in the garden outside the venue and spilled over into the restaurant where families were having their dinner.
The drama began when Georgia ran out into the area in "floods of tears" following an argument with her boyfriend Tommy.
She told her pals: "I can't believe the way he's just spoken to me!".
As the TOWIE cast gathered around to comfort her, Tommy stormed in and went "absolutely apes**t".
He began rowing with Dan and the heated argument allegedly turned physical as the pair clashed in the restaurant in front of stunned diners.
The onlooker told The Sun Online: "All of a sudden Georgia... she come running down the stairs with rollers in her hair...
"And she said 'I can't believe the way he's just spoken to me', and like crying and Chloe was trying to comfort her...
"Tommy Mallet just [went] absolutely apes**t, screaming, swearing...
"Then Tommy Mallet just run into the restaurant where there was all families sitting with their little kids... and got Dan up against the wall...
"Security run in dragged Tommy Mallet out and pulled him over to the side and he was absolutely going mental. They couldn't calm him down."
The security guards took Tommy outside, and Dan attempted to follow in a bid to calm him down, but was asked to go back inside as they were "about to start filming".
The onlooker revealed the manager was furious about the incident and confronted the show's producers over the drama.
The manager later asked bar staff to offer free drinks and an apology to the diners who witnessed the spectacle.
Tommy was then "escorted off the premises"
The insider added: "It was just mayhem... Tommy just absolutely went ballistic.... They weren't just shouting... it was a mess. Producers were running round like blue-arsed flies...
"They wouldn't let him back on set... They escorted him off the premises... He wasn't seen again after that."
The new series of TOWIE is due to hit screens later this year.
