David and Victoria Beckham quit the US and jet back to UK to live in £6million estate
AFTER spending four months in the US it looked like Victoria and David Beckham, along with their kids, might be setting up shop there for good.
But I can reveal the family secretly jetted back to the UK last week and are now able to take full advantage of their pride and joy — the new lake they have had created in the grounds of their Cotswolds home.
The A-list couple, along with their youngest kids Romeo, Cruz and Harper, flew to Miami, Florida, on Christmas Day, where they have been living the high life with relaxed Covid-19 restrictions and sunny weather.
Their long stay there had prompted whispers that Victoria had finally been talked into moving to Miami, where David has set up his football team Inter Miami CF, having previously not been keen to relocate to the States.
However, the family are now back and reaping the rewards of the lake — which would cover three quarters of a football pitch — at their £6million estate.
It follows delays after locals protested the plans, claiming the lake, which has an island, is too large and “out of keeping” with the area.
A source said: “The whole family loved their time in the US but the UK has always been home for them.
“They are back in the UK and focusing on various aspects of their business ventures between the Cotswolds and London.
“They had to isolate when they got back but now they are settled again and the children are preparing to go back to school next week.
“Brooklyn moved to Miami last year to be with his fiancée Nicola Peltz so he has stayed out there.
"Victoria feels sad to be away from him but he’s grown up now and living his own life.
“They’re hoping it won’t be too long before he can make a visit back home again.”
Their second eldest Romeo, now 18, is likely to be the next to fly the nest.
But given he is dating local model Mia Regan, who he has only just been able to reunite with following his time in the US, I doubt he will be in a rush to move far away.
During their time in the States Victoria and David partied with Kim Kardashian and watched Inter Miami CF’s first game with Brooklyn’s soon-to-be in-laws.
In posts on Instagram, Posh Spice wrote, “I love Miami” and, “This place is everything.”
But clearly nothing beats the green, green grass of home.
As well as their place in Oxfordshire, they have a mansion in the capital’s up-market area of Holland Park which is worth £31million.
It makes the flat they bought in Miami for £19million in 2020 sound like a bargain.
The five-bed property is in a 62-story building that is so flash it even has a helipad.
How the other half lives . . .
It's a real good time for Adele
ADELE has made a return to music – although not in the way I had hoped.
The superstar was filmed singing along to Jennifer Lopez’s I’m Real at an Oscars after-party.
She danced in a £1,760 lime green coat, drank Moscow mule cocktails and even got on the decks, telling guests: “I’m the DJ, here we go.”
She rubbed shoulders with rapper Drake and Judas And The Black Messiah actress Amber Chardae Robinson at the LA party to celebrate the Oscar win of fellow north Londoner Daniel Kaluuya.
He will go far keeping company like her.
Kim in dupe of Gwyn Goop
KIM Kardashian is already a billionaire but now she’s planning a money-spinning wellness empire to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.
I can reveal she has filed a whopping 19 trademark applications in the US under the name SKKN by KIM, covering beauty products, health drinks, electronic gadgets, clothes, homeware and lots more.
And in the clearest sign she’s coming for Gwyneth’s crown, she has also applied for a trademark for her own range of candles – a year after the actress launched her infamous This Smells Like My Vagina one.
Gwyneth set up Goop in 2008 and it is valued at around £200million. But it has been slammed for its wacky products and controversial advice.
My source said: “Kim is always looking at ways to expand her businesses and believes setting up a brand named after her which encapsulates a series of different things is a perfect way to move forward.
“She already has separate brands but this venture would be a new chapter for her.”
The US socialite has made a fortune thanks to her cosmetics company KKW Beauty and shapewear brand Skims, as well as her endorsements and TV jobs.
The news comes at a time of change for Kim, who is divorcing her rapper husband Kanye West and will see her family’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, ending this summer after 14 years.
In recent days rumours have also been swirling that she is dating US news channel CNN’s political commentator Van Jones.
He will have plenty of competition after she ended things with Kanye.
Hailey doesn't Belieb in herself
HAILEY Bieber looked edgy in , but despite being a poster girl for many, even she admitted she lacks confidence.
The model told the mag: “When it comes to social media, I’ve definitely gone through so much comparison.
“Comparing myself to other people, feeling like I need to have this type of body in order to feel good about myself.
“With social media, you click on one thing and you see another, and then you’re in this weird rabbit hole and you’re putting yourself down.”
Hailey now restricts her Instagram use to only two days a week, which should be something she encourages her husband Justin to do after he posted this photo of his ridiculous new dreadlocks.
Barbers have reopened Justin, you’ve got no excuse.
Gemma's clean sweep
GEMMA Collins won’t be able to air her dirty laundry in public any more – because she has signed up to become the face of a washing powder.
The seven-figure deal with Surf is the biggest contract of her career.
An insider said: “The money is over £1million and includes TV and social media adverts.
“Gemma started filming her first commercial at the weekend and she’ll be announced in the coming weeks.”
She is taking over from new mum Dani Dyer, who stepped back after her baby boy Santiago arrived in January.
Last year Gemma was in an ad campaign for budget airline Wizz Air to encourage summer holidays.
Then she put her foot in it by saying on her podcast that she didn’t want to fly during the pandemic.
Behaviour like that won’t wash this time.
Coldplay's cryptic code
COLDPLAY have said they will return with a new single, Higher Power, on May 7.
The group teased the release with a cryptic message in symbols on their website but it was quickly decoded by fans.
It will be the first tune from their ninth studio album, which I revealed in February would be called Music Of The Spheres.
Ashley looks bloomin' lovely
THE Pussycat Dolls were one of the hottest acts of the Noughties, but Ashley Roberts wound back the clock even further in this outfit.
There was no missing her in the Seventies-style flower power shirt and matching flared trousers as she made her way into the London studio for her Heart FM radio show yesterday.
Ashley later posted a video of herself in the office on Instagram, and captioned it: “Groovy baby.”
The colourful combo is a world away from the raunchy outfits the Dolls are likely to wear on their reunion tour.
Beatles drive to the top
RINGO Starr has revealed he and his super-rich Beatles bandmates had to lie on top of each other to stay warm in their tour van before hitting the jackpot with their careers.
Describing life on the road in new documentary What Drives Us, drummer Ringo, who was in the Fab Four with Paul McCartney, George Harrison and John Lennon, said: “You know what was crazy, we always drove home.
“We never stayed in a motel or in a tent. We drove home then got in the van the next day and went to the next gig.
“We were driving from London, on like the coldest day ever in Britain, coldest night in Britain. Freezing cold, snowing, just the worst.
“And the windshield went. It (the van) had a bench seat and we laid on top of each other and if you got to the top you had a slug of whisky.
“And then you moved your way down again and then the next one had a slug. And that’s how we got back home without freezing to death.”
Gives a whole new meaning to A Hard Day’s Night.
The Amazon Prime Video documentary is hosted by Dave Grohl and produced by his band Foo Fighters.
It also includes chats with, among others, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, Slash from Guns N’ Roses and U2’s Edge and is out on Friday.
Billie's Happier Than Ever
BILLIE Eilish has announced her next album, Happier Than Ever, will be released on July 30.
It follows the award-winning When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go? in 2019.

Writing on Instagram about the 16-track album, the American singer-songwriter said: “This is my favourite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and eager for you to hear it. I can’t even tell you.

“I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. Hope you feel what I feel. Also, new song out Thursday. Ahhh.”
It is probably no coincidence that Billie is releasing Happier Than Ever on her brother Finneas’ 24th birthday, as he produced the album.
