Ashley Cain’s partner Safiyya says ‘each day is getting harder’ as she vows to make baby Azaylia ‘proud’ after her death
ASHLEY Cain's girlfriend Safiyya said that "every day is getting harder" after baby Azaylia's tragic death on Saturday.
The heartbroken mum took to her Instagram page late this evening to pen an emotional message to her followers.
In the post, Safiyya vowed to make her eight-month-old daughter "proud" as she thanked her little girl for teaching her "strength" and "the true meaning of life".
Sharing a sweet photo of herself and Azaylia gazing lovingly at one another in hospital, Safiyya shared: "I would like to take a moment out of my day to thank each and every one of you for your heartfelt messages, amazing videos that you have created for us, poems, candles that have been lit, balloons, music, flowers, etc.
"It's so beautiful. Every day is getting harder but Azaylia's taught me strength, and courage, which she held 100%. Now I need to make her proud and do the same. I know you're looking down on me."
The devoted parent added: "A special thank you to beautiful Azaylia for teaching all of us the true meaning of life, I'm honoured to be your mummy.
"Enjoy paradise, baby and your new angel wings. Na night baba."
Safiyya signed off with a string of orange heart emojis.
She and partner Ashley Cain broke the devastating news that Azaylia had passed away after a brave battle with leukaemia yesterday.
Earlier today, Ashley opened up to fans as he shared a final photo of his little girl and said that his "heart is shattered".
Posting a picture of himself holding her hand, the reality star wrote: "My heart is shattered 💔. You gave my life purpose, my face a smile, filled my heart with love and my soul with pride.
"I can’t put into words my sadness and pain, there aren’t words to describe it. I love you with every ounce of my body and I miss you so much already.
"You made me a better man. You made me the person I’ve always wanted to be. You’ve taught me more in your 8 months than I’ve learned my whole life.
"But I promise you that your name with live on. I will carry your name across every ocean, along every road, to the top of every mountain and across the whole globe," he wrote.
"Your name will live, your legacy will be remembered and I will seek peace in living as your vessel to continue inspiring, giving strength, spreading joy and saving lives."
He continued: "You saved my life, you really did. With my second chance, I make a promise to you that I will make yours live on in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.
"I am blessed, I am honoured and I am privileged to be your father. I would go through all of the pain again and again. Because what you gave me in those 8 months will live with me for eternity."
Devoted Ashley and Safiyya had been documenting Azaylia's brave battle online, with the little fighter winning hearts across the globe.
She has been nominated for a Pride of Britain award - with people across the UK also taking to their doorsteps to "Clap for Azaylia".

At the start of the month, they revealed that doctors had told them they could no longer treat Azaylia's leukaemia, which she was diagnosed with at just eight weeks old.
Her parents had just raised over £1million for her to get specialist treatment in Singapore when they were delivered the heartbreaking news, with medics finding tumours throughout her body - including on her brain.

In the weeks that followed, Azaylia needed several blood transfusions as she started to cry blood, and suffer nosebleeds - with purple bruises also appearing on her body as her illness meant that her blood could not clot.
She stopped breathing several times and began to suffer seizures in her final days, with Safiyya and Ashley providing their daughter round-the-clock care alongside their close family members.
