VICKY Pattison has opened up about the awkward moment when a married man appeared to be trying it on with her at a wedding.
The former Geordie Shore was speaking with fellow Loose Women panellists about mistress and the various reactions to it within a marriage when she began to discuss how women see each other as threats because of men’s actions.
Coleen Nolan had stated: “What’s funny is we’re sat having a go at the mistresses but actually it's the men… Vicky, you’re happily single, do you ever feel that if you walk into a situation where there’s couples that the women may be looking at you as a threat?”
The popular reality star replied: “I went to a wedding recently and I was the only single girl there. And if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, I was standing at the bar and, um, it got a bit wild with drinks.
She continued: “This guy was like: ‘LETS DO A SHOT,’ and I thought it was cause I was Vicky off Geordie Shore and people like to drink with us – but the guy kept pulling me back trying to do more and more shots.”
“The bridesmaid then came over and said: ‘I know you’re single but that’s so and so’s husband.’ It’s not my fault! I’d been trying to get away from him for 15 mins! It’s not my fault, what about the bloke?”
Her comments came as she discussed the complications alongside Coleen, Janet Street-Porter and June Sarpong.
Janet mused in length about the topic as she explained: "I’ve never had an affair with a married man and I’d never do that to another woman.
"There is a serious issue at the heart of all this which you read about…although we talk endlessly about sex in Britain today, a lot of people are in relationships where they don’t have sex and no one really talks about this."
She continued: "They don’t know how to talk about it with their partner. A lot of older men or women don’t feel very sexy. What I find really interesting is we’re constantly told to get counselling.
"I have friends that have gone years without sex in their relationships. When a man or woman gets over a certain age, it’s hard to get them to change."
When Coleen read out a statics which said that 62% of women would rather be the mistress than the deceived wife, Vicky replied: "I think they’re trying to say that as the mistress they’re trying to avoid the heartache.
"But realistically are these blokes ever going to leave their wives for their mistresses? No. If he cheated on his wife with you he’ll cheat on you."
