Mila Kunis reveals she and Ashton Kutcher were friends with benefits before getting serious
The actress says sparks flew immediately when the pair met up years after starring on same TV show
MILA Kunis has revealed it was a case of life imitating art when it came to the start of her relationship with husband Ashton Kutcher.
The couple both starred in films about no -strings hook ups and she says that was just how their love affair started.
Speaking to on Tuesday she told the radio host the pair were casual sex pals before getting serious.
"We, oddly, both did a movie called — I did Friends With Benefits, he did a movie called No Strings Attached.
"If we just paid attention to these movies, we should know that s**t like this does not work out in real life.
Well, we clearly didn't pay attention. We shook hands, we're like, 'Let's just have fun!' I mean, literally, we lived out our movies. We literally just had a very open conversation."
Kunis, 32, met Kutcher, 38, on Tv series That 70's Show, and she said if the pair had got together back then it would never have worked.
It was when they met years later that things got serious.
They were both attending a house party in 2011 - Kutcher had been intending to set her up with a friend but decided he wanted the actress for himself.
The Bad Moms star said her man's looks “took her breath away” the moment she laid eyes on him — and he became“territorial” of her: "So I went over. Long story short — I didn't leave till the next morning.
"And that was the first time, ever, that I'd ever slept over when I was single … at a guy's house."
While not divulging if the pair got down to it the first night she confirmed: "Well, I'll tell you this much, he didn't let me leave. At 2 in the morning I was like, 'I'm gonna call an Uber! See you later.' And he was like, 'You're crazy!' And I was like, 'Bye!'
“Like, when I was single, I was so adamant about never, as stupid as it sounds, never staying over at a guy's house.
“I was, like, peacing out, and he was like, ‘You're not leaving.’ And that was the first time and only time."
The pair got together after Kutcher split with his ex wife Demi Moore, and Kunis split with ex-boyfriend of eight years Macaulay Culkin.
Stern said: "I thought he was going to go on a mad tear after he broke up with Demi."
She responded: "You and I both, Howard! So, then we end up having a lot of talks about how this is a huge mistake, and how he needs to be single and I need to go and be single.”
Kunis said the couple's friends with benefits arrangement soon turned into something more: "We'd literally attempt to go see other people, and then that night we'd be like, 'Hey! What are you up to? Wanna come over?'
"It ended up going from just having fun to genuinely wanting … When I realized I was nervous when I spoke to him. I was like, 'I don't like this anymore.'"
The couple now have 21-month-old daughter Wyatt and Kunis is expecting her second child with the actor.
